The Romanian branch was launched on December 16, 2019 under the name Bank of China (Hungary) Budapesta Sucursala Bucuresti, and the operational opening was in April, last year.Job description The main responsibilities of this position are: responsible for invoice management; responsible for booking in accounting of all invoices and their payments in local and foreign currency; in charge with daily checking the abnormal balances reports and other balances from various accounting systems; responsible for booking and payments of all reimbursement to the employees; in charge with booking and payments of taxes; responsible for booking in the system on the dedicated modules of all fixed assets, accruals, salaries and other manual transactions; in charge with preparation and submission of daily liquidity and attracted sources, respecting the deadline imposed by NBR; responsible for preparing and sending the payment instructions; in charge with reviewing of all Fiscal Returns and Purchase Journals prepared by our external consultant, before submit them to Tax Authority; responsible with preparing and applying the policies, procedures and workflows regarding the accounting activity; and any other tasks assigned by the Chief Accountant.Specific responsibilities • Responsible for invoice management, including but not limited to verifying the invoice information (issuer name, tax ID, account number, our branch’s name, our branch tax ID, address, etc.), seeking consent and endorsement from invoice owners, making comparison with previous invoices or contracts for recurring invoices, submitting for management’s approval of invoice payment, timely solving discrepancies identified in the invoices, and investigating abnormalities related to invoices;• Responsible for booking in accounting system of all invoices (OPEX and CAPEX) and their payments in local and foreign currency, after making sure that all invoices are approved for payment, in advance, by the budget owner and by the general manager;• In charge with daily checking the abnormal balances reports and other balances from various accounting systems according to revelant reconciliation workflow;• Responsible for booking and payments of all reimbursement to the branch’s employees;• In charge with calculation, booking and payments of taxes (VAT, local taxes, withholding tax, etc.);• Responsible for booking in the system of all fixed assets, accruals, salaries and other manual transactions;• In charge with preparation and submission of regulatory reporting, such as daily liquidity and attracted sources, respecting the deadline imposed by National Bank of Romania (NBR);• Responsible for preparing and sending the approved payment instructions:• In charge with reviewing of all Fiscal Returns and Purchase Journals prepared by our external consultant, before submitting them to the Tax Authority;• Responsible with preparing and applying the policies, procedures and workflows regarding the accounting activity;• Responsible for preparing procurement report and organize internal procurement evaluation and approval related tasks;• Responsible for monitoring the regulatory update and change in financial and accounting sector and reporting to supervisor;• Responsible for preparing internal reports that may be assinged by the supervisor;• Responsible for initiating, coordinating, participating, testing, and implementing the accounting and reporting related application system upgrade;• Participating in the preparation and implementation of Business Continuity Plan related tasks; • Fulfilling any other task assigned by the Chief Accountant• Comply with all applicable rules and regulations• Maintain good cooperation with all team membersJob requirements• Minimum Bachelor degree in Accountancy/Finance/Management • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial, accounting particularly in bank/financial institutions sector is preferred• knowledge about Romanian accounting law, tax issues, NBR reporting, and other regulatory reporting;• knowledge of IFRS;• Fluent English knowledge both in writing and spoken form is a must; Chinese language knowledge is a strong advantage;• familiar with relevant financial regulations and laws; • Must be able to use computers and MS Office software, such as Word, Excel, PPT, etc.
