Communications Specialist Job SummarySparks Group has partnered with a public serving, non-profit enterprise in Alexandria, VA to find a Communications Specialist. In collaboration with the initiative change and communications team, you will develop a communication plan that supports the initiative objectives and addresses the concerns communicated through survey and committee meetings. The communications plan will include multiple forms and approaches to reach the various audience knowledge levels and engagement preferences. Communication will not only keep staff informed, but will promote increased feedback, collaboration, and engagement. Various communications mediums and platforms will be employed. This is a part-time, long-term contract role! Communications Specialist Responsibilities: Develop a plan that considers targeted results and creates actionable communication elements (pamphlets, posters, monthly updates). Finalize branding package. Incorporate specific branding into any associated communication. Use branding to communicate and enable internal change. Support the change management efforts through active communication. Generate a Project Management monthly newsletter. Create and maintain a webpage that includes project status, progress and expenditures as well as quarterly interactive reports. In collaboration with the individual project managers, create project narratives that explain the objectives and promote the achievements for each project. Facilitate quarterly updates of project progress reporting on the webpage. Communication Specialist Qualifications: Communications Skills- Written and verbal. Proficiency on ADOBE Acrobat and Microsoft Suite. Experience working on SharePoint and Teams. Understanding of PMI Project Management Principles. Web editing.
