Database Administrator
Thales Services Application is providing database services for many business units. With constant objective for customer satisfaction, database administrators provide services to maintain and improve integrity, performance, resilience and security of databases in our area of responsibility.
Job summary :
· Database installations and maintenance : install, upgrade and manage database applications
· Troubleshooting according to Service level agreements
· Data recovery
· Issues analysis
· Monitoring of performance and tuning databases : manage parameters (queries, indexes, physical configurations…)
· Database capacity management / Space management.
· Security management: DB Patch management, log analysis…
· Manage database access
· Provide technical expertise, technology watch.
· Project execution on SGBD scope. Devops concepts
· Database repeating tasks automation, work with Devops concepts.
· Continuously improve and write procedures / reflex sheets for supervision and operation teams
Required competencies/experience:
Minimum of 3-6 years experience administering one or many SGBD.
· (mandatory) SQL Server, SQL Server clustering, Always On
· (mandatory) Postgres SQL
Nice to have:
· Oracle, Oracle RAC, RMAN, Dataguard, Oracle Database Appliance (ODA)
· MongoDB, MariaDB, Informix
· NoSQL database
· IT production experience
· ITIL knowledge
· Agile methodology
· Speak and write French
