About 5,000 employees from 84 nations are currently realizing the projects of our customers with professional knowledge and intercultural experience.For our Rail Baltica Project, we are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer willing to join us in delivering one of the most important High-Speed Rail Design Projects within the European Union.Involvement in the Geotechnical technical planning infrastructure projects, technical drafting in compliance with German and/or European technical standards in forceDevelopment of details and execution drawings for specific Infrastructure projects and other written documentation with focus on Geotechnical engineeringThe evaluation of technical special proposals (technical Opinions)Communication skills to interface and collaborate with other project team memberCost estimation, cost calculation and profitability calculationsImplementation of quality procedures within projectsCarrying out site visit to optimize the consolidation works and their adaptability to the fieldEstablishing consolidation and soil improvements solutions with their applicability and ensuring collaboration and communication with other specialties and sub-designersDescription of designed works, elaboration of specialized technical reports, elaboration of technical specifications, elaboration of drawings in accordance with the calculation notesCarrying out calculations and structure dimensioning (general stability of slopes, dimensioning of retaining structures or MSE walls, settlement analyses, pile design etc.), applying technical conditions according to state folders as well as implementation of Eurocodes and local standards.Bachelor/Master degree in Rail, Roads & Bridges Engineering or Geotechnical EngineeringAt least 3 years of experience in Geotechnical design, with focus on railway/ road earthworks, retaining walls and foundations design.Good knowledge of industry-standard software (e.g. Slope/W, Settle3D, Plaxis 2D/3D )Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Autodesk (e.g AutoCad, Civil 3D )A team player to promote a good working environmentAnalytical thinking, hardworking, responsible and flexibleFluency in Romanian and English are required. Other language skills, especially German, is beneficial.
