Job Summary
Performs professional level accounting support. Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices.
Supports moderately complex projects, working under general supervision.
Review of account reconciliations should include analysis of recurring items, and recommendations for improvements or solutions.
Monitors, analyzes, and reconciles various balance sheet accounts.
Performs accounting tasks including researching and preparing account reconciliations, entries to project and balance sheet accounts, and/or financial statements.
Makes recommendations based on analysis of accounts.
Works with internal customers to gather and provide information.
Must understand relationships between accounts, and have intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounting & financial analysis principals.
This level requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner.
Minimum Requirements
3 to 5 years of Indirect Tax experience, preferably exposure to Middle East VAT Compliance
Ability to use the Microsoft Suite Programs, including an advanced knowledge of Excel
Thorough knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles)
Excellent communication skills in order to distil complex tax concepts into easily comprehensible subject matter for non-tax colleagues
Understanding of indirect tax research
CTA or similar tax certification (or working towards)
