Full Stack Developer for SCADA Systems

Thales Romania delivers advanced signaling, supervision and control systems for railways in close cooperation with Thales Germany, information systems for England’s motorways and major roads in close cooperation with Thales UK, Human Computer Interfaces (HCI) for air and land simulators in cooperation with Thales France.

For several transport customers, Thales is providing an Integrated Supervision and Control System (ISCS). Its purpose is to provide a generic environment with a standardized graphical interfaces and a new framework with standard communication interfaces using SCADA and Train management solutions.

The SCADA solutions enable the customer to control and command a large set of assets in order to supervise their infrastructure centrally and optionally locally (traction power equipment, tunnel ventilation equipment, escalators and elevators, lights, pumps and drainage, etc).

The train management solutions enable the customer to monitor and control all train movements according to the target schedule, headway and energetic constraints.

The development/test will be performed in close co-operation with experts in Thales Romania & Thales France and requires regular traveling between these locations.

Requested technical competence:

  • Technical background, Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar degree;
  • Good understanding of software architecture and design;
  • Strong Java SE development skills;
  • Spring/Spring Boot;
  • IDE: Eclipse STS;
  • Rabbit MQ;
  • Micro-service architectures ;
  • Front-end technologies (JavaScript, CSS3, HTML, Typescript);
  • REST;
  • Cloud foundry;
  • Docker;
  • Garden;
  • Bash;
  • MVC, Node.js;
  • WebSockets; SSL, Server Sent Events;
  • Redis;
  • Postgres;
  • Kafka;
  • Coverity, Klockwork or Blackduck;
  • Jira, Git, Gerrit, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar;
  • Advance level of English.

Knowledge of the following is a plus:

  • French language;
