Junior Consultant- Biodiversity Impact Assessment (Entry Level) in Bucuresti

ERM is looking for a motivated Junior Consultant to join its team in Romania and help our clients in some or all of the following areas, for example: Impact Assessment and Permitting Biodiversity and Ecological Services Air Quality Noise Environmental and Social Due Diligence. You will be part of our interdisciplinary and international team and will collaborate with ERM offices in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and even beyond As a Junior Consultant within the team, you will be expected to support the successful delivery of ERM proposals and projects in line with our vision, values and our strategic imperatives by: Adhering to all ERM and client requirements, specifically those related to H&S and governance. Applying client/sector knowledge when carrying out tasks associated with drafting project deliverables and or proposals. Using ERM’s methodologies and technologies consistently in line with ERM and client expectations. Contributing to successfully delivering small discrete tasks on projects and /or proposals. Ideal Candidate: BSc. and / or MSc. in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Geography or related discipline Minimum of 1-2 years experience in environmental impact assessment and permitting projects Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following areas is an advantage: biodiversity and ecological services, air quality, noise, GIS and remote sensing Mining experience would be a plus Fluency in English; fluency in French/German and Romanian would be an advantage Project management skills Commitment to excellence, and to health and safety Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel Interpersonal skills and team orientation Willingness to travel and perform work in country and internationally Ability to drive (hold a valid driver’s license).
