The team architects and manages the Linux, Virtualization, and Server Hardware computing platform. You will have the opportunity to be at the center of the work required to provide a best-of-breed Kubernetes platform for the firm’s container runtime. The move to containers is at the heart of the firm’s technology strategy and the Kubernetes Engineering function within Unix Engineering is at the forefront of providing a container runtime solution on-premise and in the public cloud.Your main responsibilities: Increase containerization efficiency within the company  Implement, architect, and operate an on-premises containerized environmentWork  closely with application developers and strategists to build and deploy technology solutionsDevelop solutions for deploying applications on public cloud offerings and release next-generation compute and container-runtime platformsEvolve the company ecosystem enabling CNCF solutions that drive developer efficiency and infrastructure stabilityEngineer and implement components within the Kubernetes infrastructure and the integration with on-premise and public-cloud dependencies and servicesPartner with application teams to engineer solutions to meet specific requirements and to assist with architecture and design decisionsYou’re ideal for this position if you have:At least 5 years of experience in a similar roleExperience with the implementation, architecture, and operation of an on-premises containerized environmentHands-on configuration, management, and upgrades of a Kubernetes platformKnowledge of OpenShift, Ceph, or ArgoCD is an advantageCI/CD Development Environments/Tools: Git, GitLab/GitHubDemonstrable experience in setting and meeting project goals when implementing and integrating complex technology conceptsExpertise in at least one scripting and/or high-level language, ideally Golang or shellDesired skills and qualifications:CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)Experience in using configuration management toolsFamiliarity with standard IT security practices (e.g. TLS certificates, key management, oAuth, LDAP)Demonstrated interest and ability to learn about the developing container-runtime landscape of components and technologiesWe offer you:ITDS Business Consultants is involved in many various, innovative and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
