Logistics Manager in Oradea

Purpose Statement: Accountable for identifying efficient and effective inbound and outbound Reverse Logistics operations for Plexus's Oradea location. Key Job Accountabilities: Responsible for ensuring the Logistic team is in adherence to Plexus policy. Perform annual performance evaluations, participate in goal setting for all direct reports and communicate customer updates, changes, etc. Schedule one-on-one meetings to encourage communication and development. Support Global Reverse Logistics projects through evaluation of effective mode selection, packaging and improvements allowing for better utilization of equipment, analysis of inbound transportation sourcing bids and implementation of global strategies. Manage relationship with the customs authorities, ensure legal compliance, as well as maximum efficiency. Optimize the logistic aspects of the Oradea supply models, identify the improvement areas and drive specific actions for cost reduction. Draw and trace logistic budget, reduce log cost through better rates, controls on premium services, benchmarking logistic services. Additional Accountabilities: Subject matter expert (SME) for logistics processes related to Transportation and Freight Spend. Drive improved costs, better utilization of equipment, mode selection, and analysis of alternative routing methods. Develop and implement relative key performance indicator (KPI) driving continuous improved performance from service providers. Provide regular updates to KPI's and implement quarterly business review to help monitor ongoing performance and service levels. Utilize advanced skills and logistics knowledge of Transportation Management Services, mode selection and International Transportation for purposes of data collection and assessment and analysis of supply chain and logistics projects. Support Direct Order Fulfillment and Aftermarket Services projects including scoping, design, modeling, implementing and continuous improvement. Access Logistics processes and execution opportunities for improvement through value stream mapping and gap analysis. Support Global Logistics projects through evaluation of effective mode selection, packaging and nesting improvements allowing for double stacking or improved utilization of equipment, analysis of inbound transportation sourcing bids and implementation of global strategies. Acknowledges and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards provided in the procedures and instructions that are specific to each field, documentation that underlies the proper functioning of the integrated management system of quality, environment, safety and occupational health. Additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; Five (5) years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered. Other Qualifications: Intermediate computer skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage several projects at one time. Work Environment: The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
