Mgr – Validation and Test EMEA in Oradea

Purpose Statement: Provide “Best In Class” services to all sites in EMEA region. Lead and drive best practice sharing, initiative/project deployment, coaching / mentoring site-engineering teams and provide technical SME support to the region. The scope of this role covers Validation and Test Engineering within the EMEA region.Key Job Accountabilities:Act as the escalation point for the EMEA manufacturing site and regional Subject Matter Experts, showing a demonstrated ability to investigate and solve complex problems.Inspire and Lead Engineering Change within the region, including new technology implementation, global and regional initiatives and best practices.Lead the Strategic alignment between the sites within the region with the global teams; architect and lead the implementation of Best Practices, Processes and standards within the Validation and Test Engineering disciplines. (global and regional User Groups, development & training)Provide coaching and support to the regional, and site SME’s within Validation and Test Engineering. Collaborate with global SME’s and the site Training teams to define technical and professional development.Implement continuous improvement programs and process controls related to global standardized processes. This includes deployment, monitoring, and improvement of key metrics.Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.Additional Accountabilities:Direct regional efforts in One Plexus manufacturing culture in order to standardize, implement and utilize best practices in the Focus Factory model as follows: Equipment, Process materials and Performance metricsSupport new business opportunities throughout the region.Support Plexus Enterprise solutions with existing, new and prospective customers in a marketing / sales environment.Frequent travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (up to 25%)Additional duties as assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required; a degree in business or engineering is preferredSeven (7) years of related experience is required; Five (5) years of related experience is preferredAn equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications: Must possess the ability to create presentations, documents, etc. to effectively communicate technical/business issues and solutions.Strong Decision Making and Problem Solving Skills.Strong Verbal, Written Communication and Interpersonal Skills.Strong Analytical Skills.General office equipment and materials.Work Environment: The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
