Valiant is seeking skilled Linguists to provide interpretation, transcription, and translation services to support ongoing and new U.S. operations and mission requirements in Europe. Responsibilities: Conduct accurate and consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from Polish into EnglishTranslate various syntax and expressions to include colloquial and slang phrases from English Polish and vice versaWork and travel in austere environmentsProvide advice on the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documentsAccurately scan, research, and analyze foreign language documentsOther related tasks as assigned Must have proficiency in Polish and English speaking and writing Level 3/3 of the Common European Framework (CEF)-Native proficiency preferredExtensive knowledge of Polish culture with previous work in the region-Native familiarity preferredExperience interpreting and translating Polish into EnglishAbility to understand the essentials of all speech in standard dialect and vocabulary, rarely requiring the need for paraphrasing or explanationFamiliarity with the local culture and customs with the ability to operate within the local populaceMust be a U.S. citizenTS/SCI Clearance Req 22-3728
