Project Management and Budget Manager, Refurbishment in Cernavodã

General Accountabilities Negotiation and administration of contracts, including estimates of costs, schedule, and resources required Apply recognized Project Management methodology to ensure projects are managed effectively Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve complex project risks Provide timely and up-to-date reporting of projects, including risks, to Head of Project Management and project team Establish project performance indicators, and calculate and report their status Establish risk management processes Assess proposed changes in project execution Manage and monitor project schedule, budget, quality, profitability, nuclear safety aspects, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Prepare predictions on future financial resource requirements to align with project needs Interact with full range of skilled staff in supporting the successful completion of projects Establish and communicate Project Execution Plans to define duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to relevant stakeholders Empower project team to carry out tasks Liaise with staff, contractors, consultants, and vendor resources as required Identify opportunities for improvement in the technical and project management process Selection Criteria A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering is required Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an asset 10 years relevant experience in Project Management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with CANDU Nuclear Power Plants Direct involvement in a CANDU Refurbishment Project/Organization within the past 3 years will be an advantage Comprehensive understanding of CANDU technology and operations Demonstrated capability to manage and lead Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products under tight timelines and high pressure to support unit restart schedules Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in leading technical projects to successful conclusions Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have demonstrated a high commitment to quality Drives results at all levels High sense of personal accountability Romanian Language proficiency would be beneficial but is not a requirement This role requires full-time relocation to Cernavoda, Romania for an extended duration.
