R&D Engineer / Scientist in Lugoj

We have an opportunity for a R&D Engineer / Scientist to join our Honeywell Building Technologies team in Lugoj. Be a part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve research, techniques, procedures, and products and technologies. You will develop, conduct and evaluate new approaches to meet project objectives faster and more efficiently and to develop and commercialize products & technologies.Key responsibilities:Participate in Cost Reduction ideas generation;Identify opportunities to reduce BOM and labor cost of existing products;Perform or support feasibility review of new ideas assigned;Conduct Feasibility Reviews on new ideas and evaluate projects from ideation to implementation;Prepare Test Plans for the project to make sure the alternative component will satisfy all requirements and final product performance meets the specification;Perform Component and Product level Qualification – Perform all required testing in the laboratory, complete test report, get approval from Client.WE VALUE:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;Master’s Degree is a plus (although not required);At least 3 years of experience in the Component Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hardware/Electronic design or Electronic Test Engineering;Knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Cost Reduction principles and techniques;Experience working with Suppliers and cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Design Engineers, Regulatory, etc.;CAD tools, UL/CSA/CE standards, statistical methods and tools, MS Office;Experience managing projects and Project Management skills;Very good written and spoken English, very good communication and negotiation skills, work in the international team, experience multitasking and prioritizing workload;Kaizen experience.WE OFFER:Medical plan;Budget for flexible benefit scheme which can be used for travel, sports, dental scheme, and others;Business Travel Accident Insurance;Voluntary defined contributory pension plan;Meal allowance;A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity and innovation;Market specific training and on-going personal development.If this is your dream role, then we'd love to hear from you.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
