Senior Accountant in Bucuresti

We are looking for a Senior Accountant in Bucharest with a good knowledge of Romanian financial law and policies. Superpowers you have are: 5+ years of experience with accounting standards (GAAP) in Romania;3+ years of experience in IFRS Accounting;Good knowledge of IFRS, local accounting, and reporting standards;Being a confident user of MS Office Excel/Google Sheets;Being attentive, responsible, and detail-oriented;Higher education (degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other appropriate qualification);Upper-Intermediate level of English. You’re a rockstar if you have: Work experience with Microsoft Dynamics. Becoming a part of the Room 8 Studio team, you will: Conduct day-to-day accounting under IFRS for a legal entity in Romania:Record sales and purchase transactions, acquisition of fixed assets;Verify VAT amounts;Record payroll expenses and the accrual of payroll liabilities;Perform bank statements reconciliation. Supplier statements reconciliation;Collect and verify source accounting documents. Ensure completeness of source documents for all transactions posted to the general ledger;Perform period-end closing procedures;Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax laws and regulations in Romania. Comply with accounting standards (GAAP) in Romania. Prepare and file statutory financial reporting for legal entity; Comply with corporate income tax (CIT) laws. Prepare and file CIT returns and ensure the timely payment of taxes;Compliance with VAT laws. Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure the timely payment of taxes;Participate in the external audit of the Group: collect and submit to external auditors accounting source documents in response to audit inquiries and substantive procedures;Participate in other projects and tasks of the Accounting Team of the Room 8 Group.
