Senior Project Engineer - Prospect Highway Upgrade in Alexandria

Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for our latest civil infrastructure project, the Prospect Highway Upgrade. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead a team of Project and Site Engineers from project start to the successful completion.You will have full oversight for ensuring safety, cost, quality and time targets are met; managing client, subcontractor and reporting to senior management on performance of your scope of works.Responsibilities will include:Ensuring accurate information is provided in the cost forecasting processOversee earthworks, structures and infrastructure scope of works across the projectPreparation of budgets and monitoring budgets versus expenditure on the projectEffectively distributing employee assignments with respect to ability and overall goals of the project performance and individuals motivationReading and interpreting all plans and drawing specification detailsStreamlining and managing construction planning and programming of the project providing weekly status reports as requiredAbout You:You have a bachelors in Civil EngineeringIdeally, over 8 years of experience in project delivery across major civil projects with a solid understanding of transport & main roads, traffic management and leading a site teamThorough knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, design and contracts management functions across similar size projectsAs this is a leadership role, you will need to bring a coaching mindset to developing & growing your team’s capability and productivity.You will have an advanced communication & interpersonal skills to successfully engage with all stakeholdersThis opportunity will see you make your mark on the project, challenge your skill set, yet drive your career forward with a clear development pathway and add value from the get go.Fulton Hogan Philosophy We build and maintain critical infrastructure that connects and enhances communities across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
