We share the same beliefs and stand up for each other and this is why we hire unique people.In this role you willEngage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, refinement and end of life (sundown)Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviewsMaintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system healthScale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocityPractice sustainable incident responseResponsible for creating and maintaining documentation related with disaster recovery scenariosResponsible for the postmortems processMain requirementsTo succeed you needDegree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experienceExperience programming in at least one JVM based language: Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, etc,..Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasksSystematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of driveUnderstanding of Unix/Linux operating systemsFamiliarity with distributed systems, container technologies, micro service architectures and the cloud-native technology stackProject experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platformsKnowledge of relevant AWS services as well as their configurationSolid methodical knowledge in SCRUM and DevOpsBenefits & PerksYou will be happy withOpen source software; No top-down hierarchy.
