Time will be split between operational activities, product evolution, development of self-healing mechanisms, and various projects to enhance overall Oracle Cloud security and reliability.The role will require 24/7 availability and operational support.Will need to have skills: Good technical knowledge in Oracle Database Administration and experience in handling Databases of Massive Scale Programming languages: Python Experience in building and managing distributed applications in a Cloud environment, preferably using Oracle Cloud Nice to have: Exposure to DevOps principles and an ability to automate tasks by utilizing technologies, including but not limited to: Terraform, Ansible, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Git Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g. Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, etc) Understanding and experience with CI/CD practices (Jenkins) Proficient in cloud networking, storage, and security Proficient with containerization and cluster management technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Team player with strong communication skills and ability to work with others at all skill levels Available to work in shifts with rotational day/night coverage Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
