Overview About DB Global Technology:DB Global Technology (DBGT), also known as Bucharest Excellence Center (BEX) is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank’s AG established in Bucharest, Romania, as a dedicated application development and software engineering center for leading-edge technology solutions that power the future of global capital markets.Position Description:This position belongs to the Treasury IT, which is the largest and most established team in BEX. We build applications from scratch and work with the Bank’s top business Subject Matter Experts in London, Frankfurt, New York City and Pune.To meet the requirements of the business, the Solution Engineer proposes the design and architecture of the application or its components, investigates and proposes appropriate technologies to be used, creates re-usable frameworks and drives standardisation where possible. Leads technical delivery and ensures the coherence of the architecture with the design and implemented solution.Main responsibilities:Defines the optimum architectures of technical solutions and leads technology teams to design, build, deploy and deliver high quality software solutions to meet business needs.Communicates with business stakeholders and analysts to understand client needs.Identifies the non-functional requirementsProduces and maintains design relevant artefacts, including incorporation of software changes or enhancementsCreate & drive the implementation of the technology roadmaps and backlogs with focus on simplifying the architecture.Considers applicable standards and policies and incorporate them into designIdentifies risks associated with design and decisions; develop alternate solutions and mitigation plans; communicates them to stakeholdersProduces effort estimates and technical plansDesign for system performance and address performance issuesWorks with the development teams to ensure architecture, design and implementation alignmentProvides technical project governanceCollaborates with colleagues participating in other stages of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).Builds, captures and manages the transfers of knowledge across the Professional communityRequirementsAt least 3 years of experience in developing architectures and application design in a large enterprise working on mission-critical IT systems.Proven history of implementing technology roadmaps and providing subject matter expertiseFull SDLC experience on large complex systemsFormal IT architecture trainingIT Architect certification desiredFinancial services industry knowledge desiredTechnical leadership experienceExcellent communications and interpersonal skillsExperience in a heterogeneous IT environment involving multiple applications and technologiesKnowledge of architecture methods and frameworksKnowledge of reference architectures and patternsKnowledge of estimation methodsHands-on experience with application modeling and toolsAbility to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organisations.Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
