Learn how we are making a difference in people’s lives today!Job DescriptionThe Supervisor will play a key role in the Cognosante Enrollment Assistance Program (EAP) contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO)that supports outreach and enrollment in multiple states to support the Medicaid Unwinding following the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE).The Supervisor will oversee staff conducting face-to-face outreach and enrollment services to consumers in group and individual meetings tohelp with enrolling in a qualified health plan. This position reports to the Deputy Program Manager – Field Operations and must reside and be familiar with local communities in the State of Louisiana with a focus on LaSalle Parish.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop deep familiarity of the contract stipulations and requirementsDevelop an understanding of the EAP, Medicaid Unwinding impacts, and any state specific requirements Ensure all project-identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicableResponsible for the coordination and supervision of a team of Enrollment Assisters Ensures all activities are carried out in accordance with EAP commitments or objectivesResponsible for day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting EAP requirementsEnsure proper training and certification of assigned team and document, communicate, and manage changeSupport quality assurance initiatives, including staff monitoring for performance metrics, adherence to standards of the contract and Cognosante, and responding to event reviews or auditsFollow and monitor approved standard operating procedures and other applicable state and federal regulationsProvide feedback and coaching for performance deficiencies as required and document all employee feedback/counseling sessionsPrepare employee performance evaluations, establishing performance improvement plans as needed and conduct unscheduled site visits to ensure attendanceEnsure completion of administrative reporting, e.g., timecards, daily statistics, logs, status, and task management reports for area of responsibility,and other requested reportsOversee inventory assigned to site and individual staffDevelop and implement, in coordination with the Deputy Project Manager – Field Operations and Community Outreach Specialist, a local events plan designed to reach the targeted demographicSet up and manage outreach events as dictated by workload requirements, including transporting equipment in company vanRepresent CMS and Cognosante within the local community by attending local community events, health fairs, and other assigned venues to reach and assist targeted populationsCommunicate with team daily to keep them apprised of customer goals, progress, and emerging issuesServe as a resource and an escalation path for the Assisters and Community Outreach Specialists Establish team and operational goals, special projects, and process improvementsRespond to stakeholder requests and questionsThe successful candidate will also be expected to:Pass a background check as required for certification, to include motor vehicle recordsPossess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable, currently insured vehicleParticipate in frequent in-state and local travelSuccessfully complete mandatory training and certification requirements in allotted timeframeAdhere to prescribed conflict-of-interest prohibitions related to employment or compensation from health insurance issuersBe available to work flexible/nontraditional hours, such as early mornings, evenings, and weekendsOther additional duties as assigned by program leadershipRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree plus 4 years of experience in supervisory role managing, leading, directing and reviewing the work and assignments of a team, coaching employees, and providing on the job training Strong interpersonal communication skillsExperience working independently and/or collaboratively with staff and clients to analyze and understand project requirements and the end-user experienceExperience managing priorities and tasks in a changing environmentProficient in computer literacy, use of relevant computer applications such as MS Office, and use of other types of office technologyExperience providing feedback to improve technology innovations and establish best practices.Experience in monitoring daily performance and managing staff, systems, technology, while adhering to policies and proceduresBe available to work flexible/nontraditional hours, such as early mornings, evenings and weekends when requiredAttest to compliance with conflict-of-interest prohibitions related to employment or compensation from health insurance issuersPossess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable, currently insured vehicleParticipate in frequent local travelCandidates who do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered. Preferred QualificationsBasic knowledge of healthcare and/or the Affordable Care ActAdvanced PC skillsEvent planning and implementation skillsAbility to work with and resolve complex problems associated with diverse groupsCognosante will not provide sponsorship for employment-based immigration benefits for this position.Cognosante requires all employees regardless of position, work location or telework status to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless prohibited by federal, state, or local laws.
