Role SummarySupplier Quality Engineer Key ResponsibilitiesManage and deliver quality requirements to support plant and CSQ Responsibility for tracking and monitoring all identified customer /plant QOS requirements. Closure of customer / plant concerns within pre-agreed time frame using customer approved problem solving techniques Monitor and communicate any supplier quality issues to key stakeholders in the business and participate in problem resolution Analyse customer returns and conduct 8D review, coordinate the implementation of preventative/corrective actions where necessary Conduct supplier site visits, quality audits as necessary Provide support to the business regarding SQA on a variety of supplier quality issues Maintain SQ data base and provide reporting as necessary Supplier PPAP Completion Organize and Facilitate Run at Rate activities Compile and present Capacity Verification documents and associated data Support CI and 6 Sigma programmes Actively support Process/customer concern investigation activities using Global 8d techniques. Support engineering change on existing products and processes Co-ordinate and implement pre-production build events Support production and customer demands, both internal and external Facilitate and document Lesson Learnt reviewsKey Qualifications/Requirements Degree or related qualification in Engineering  Fluent in English  HNC/HND Engineering with an emphasis on supplier management (preferred)  Previous experience in supplier base development an asset  Understanding of various quality tools and methodologies i.e. JIT, APQP, PPAP, 8D, SPC, Pareto charts and statistical data  Understanding of office software systems - comfortable maintaining and using data/databases  Fully experienced in the selection, development and management of process suppliers.  Knowledge and experience in PFMEA’s Working knowledge of reporting software e.g. Microsoft Office Experienced in the management, supervision, implementation and updating IATF1949  Experience in working to and achieving departmental CP Excellent communication and presentational skills Ability to form effective working relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision Extensive experience in problem-solving activities Effective team player Ability to prioritize and organize tasks Planning and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Problem-Solving skills
