Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering all training courses as per the company standard.  Deliver training internally (onboarding and continuous development) for sourcing, contracting and similar “hard” procurement skills, as well as soft skills. The training can also be public training sessions, or at a client site.  This position will also spend part of their time developing and/or reviewing materials for training needs. 

Train, present, and facilitate:

  • Present technical information effectively in a classroom setting or one-on-one in a manner that is easy to understand
  • Deliver virtual training on a variety of corporate training initiatives.
  • Clearly convey and seek information and ideas in a manner that engages the audience, helps them understand, and retain the message using effective learning techniques and methods
  • Lead and manage all types of behaviors in a classroom setting
  • Monitor effectiveness of programs and progress of trainees
  • Demonstrates content knowledge – comprehends and facilitates content well enough for learners to understand and apply it.
  • Coordinate with the Learning & Development Manager for all training activities
  • Be willing to continually improve your communication and delivery skills
  • Work closely with the development team to enhance our existing products and create new experience-based learning.

Instructional, design, development, and project management:

  • Ability to state instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Designing and developing training courses and curriculums, either based on existing materials or for new requirements
  • Take initiative to further the learning and development for overall success of the full program needs
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts, and voice over
  • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content by working with subject matter experts and identifying the target audience’s training needs
  • Closely collaborate with subject matter experts in the US, India, EMEA, and other locations to develop strong courses with Procurement related content, as well as for soft skills, leadership skills and technology training.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

 

 

  • A high degree of initiative, self-sufficiency and an ability to work with little supervision
  • Superior assessment, design and facilitation skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to the audience in the moment
  • Be comfortable with virtual delivery mediums like Zoom, Teams, Adobe Connect, Etc.
  • Ability to train in a multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • High comfort/tolerance for ambiguity and evolving priorities in a fast paced, dynamic organization
  • Able to quickly learn and stay abreast of new industry trends
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to drive results and get the job done
  • Positive attitude, patience, respectfulness and tact
  • Experience in supply chain, procurement, or other process training (quality, lean six sigma) preferred
  • Perform other special projects as requested or assigned and undertake other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of training delivery experience (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Fluency in additional languages preferred (Spanish, French, German)
  • Detailed oriented and very organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
