With the escalating crisis, the needs are growing by the hour. More than half of Ukraine's children have either fled for safety within the country or are living as refugees.Since the conflict started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN:As the Child Protection Project Manager for World Vision's Ukraine Crisis Response, you will provide complex oversight and support for operational and technical work in all World Vision Romania and partners in Child Protection programs, managing multiple child protection components by different donors.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management for Child Protection Project management and monitoring of child protection activities for quality assurance and lessons-learnt for ongoing adaptation and improvement of World Vision and partners in Child Protection (CP) activities. Monitors programme quality, outputs, outcomes and, where possible, impact and reports on progress Monitors changes in the CP situation and adjusts programme implementation according Child Protection Capacity Building Support Senior Advisor, Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPHA) and Safeguarding Advisor in Capacity Building in the on-boarding of newly recruited national staff and partners Identifies and maps the context’s existing human resources and the best ways to support, use and develop them during the response Identifies gaps and challenges to staff wellbeing and proposes different ways to adapt positive coping mechanisms and strategies for a healthy work-life balance. Collaboration and Coordination Collaborate closely with the Safeguarding and MHPSS advisor for integrated project implementation and participate at the Ukraine CP sub-sector meetings to leverage WV’s CPHA expertise Information Management Contribute to the overall response in managing CP information and using assessment and other CP data. Uses up-to-date information to guide decision-making, response planning, conflict and gap analyses REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSAt least five years of proven professional experience in developing, implementing and monitoring child protection programs An advanced university degree (possibly in a field of Social Sciences, humanitarian protection, etc.) PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrable experience in child protection programming and project management, including child protection minimum standards Strong report writing and monitoring skills Interpersonal, management and conflict resolution skills. Strong capacity building, facilitation and mentoring skills Knowledge of MS Office and statistical program TRAVEL AND/OR WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTAbility to work in a team environment Strong skills in oral and written English.
