As an Accountant working within regulatory scope  you will join our Regulatory Operations team in our office in Amsterdam. You will report to the Team Lead and work closely together with other departments in our Amsterdam office as well as other globally located brands. 

The Accountant in the Regulatory Operations Team will play a pivotal role in ensuring quality & accuracy of regulatory processes in scope. Will focus on daily monitoring, analysis and reconciliations. The tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.

 

B.responsible

  • Cash and Bank processing and reconciliation as well as monitoring, investigating and reporting of the cash & banks open items.
  • Perform and track the approval of daily balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Monitor status of all payment processes and follow up timely in case of disruption
  • Coordinate and raise any concern of funds needed with the treasury department.
  • Pivotal role in safeguarding calculation process and controls as well as, ensuring it’s compliance to company policies and regulatory environment
  • Monitoring of the process Liquidity Target Ratio, as well as communicating with the Treasury department in case of liquidity concerns.
  • Perform and run daily controls to identify and address financial risks effectively
  • Management of relationships with external stakeholders through a workflow tool, assuring the completion of the daily tasks.
  • Work closely with external providers (local accountants and external auditors) to ensure that the organization is compliant with the local regulations.
  • Participate in initiatives and projects and actively drive continuous process improvements and innovations.
  • Help the team meet and exceed department goals.

B.skilled

  • Minimum 1-3 years of Accounting experience
  • Able to cope with dynamic and high change environment
  • Takes ownership for responsibilities with a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter, resourceful with strong work ethic
  • Solution-oriented and result-driven
  • Capable of working independently as well as working in a team
  • Systems: SAP, Microsoft Applications & Excel. ServiceNow is a plus
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrates tenacity, drive, ability to inspire and collaborate.
  • Ability to multi-task & a flexible and positive attitude
  • Interest in topics related to accounting and external reporting, processes, IT systems, financial and regulatory/legal operations.
  • Understanding of currencies, FX and accounting ratios will be a plus.
