Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom or synchronous remote environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Teach chemistry lecture either inperson or synchronously using zoom. Lab will be taught in-person with the lab schedule coordinated by full time faculty and lab managers. Classes can be during the daytime, evening or on weekends. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications •Adept knowledge of instructional technologies •Excellent interpersonal and native or near-native oral and written English skills •Ability to work with a diverse student population •Successful passing of a criminal background check •Adjunct faculty are required to meet assigned classes on meeting dates, submit required grade records and reports, student learning outcomes. •Classes maybe held during the day, evening or combination of both.Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Chemistry or very closely related field of study, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry. Preferred Qualifications College level teaching experience and/or relevant work experience.
