Application Engineer in Galaţi

Job Description Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks an Application Engineer to join its industry leading team servicing our main customer located in Galati, Romania.You will be responsible to manage and develop long standing client relationship, with an intense focus on exceeding client expectations and driving service delivery. Also, to provide service and deliver value through developing and managing technical projects to solve customer problems.This role provides contractual service and assists the customer with problem solving support regarding the Company’s products/applications/solutions. Experience and knowledge in, but not limited to Company products. Provide on-site field service and assistance. Conduct site surveys, product/application/system audits, and assist Key Accounts Managers to prepare new business proposals. Ensure implementation of the Six Service Standards at all client sites.Main responsibilities of the position are listed below:1. Provides on-site customer service for limited product/application/system offerings in accordance with the service plan. Documents all work and service, including evaluation of plant personnel test results, chemical application rates, chemical and test reagent inventory levels, and program deficiencies/corrective action required. Assists sales personnel in maintaining 100% compliance with the Six Service Standards.2. Diagnoses, repairs or adjusts equipment and trains customers in these procedures. Adjusts chemical dosages/applications when necessary at full service accounts. Requires creativity and ingenuity in devising solutions to customer problems and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.3. Develop strong relationships with the key stakeholders in the strategic district accounts where you provide service support to other District Sales Representatives4. Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels;5. Support services include: Sample testing, light maintenance, customer service, service report generation, chemical ordering, chemical inventory management, general labor activities6. Works with Nalco Water sales personnel to discover customer needs and maintain account leadership.7. Participates in local district meetings, regional meetings and Nalco Water seminars.8. Responsible for all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of assigned company vehicle, the compliance with Nalco Water Safety, Product Stewardship policies, and complying with Nalco Water policy regarding the shipping of analytical samples.9. Supports and is committed to Nalco Water 's Quality Improvement Process and the guiding principles of Responsible Care®, and its six Codes of Management Practice.10. Travels as required The MINIMUM amount of experience needed for an individual to be effective in the job.• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry• 2 years of technical service or field sales support experience• Experience working with Microsoft Office SuitPreferred qualification/characteristics:• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience;• Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems would be an advantage.• Ability to sell value-added products to customers.• Carry aptitude and confidence to deal with large national and multi-national customers• Strong mechanical aptitude• Experience working with MS Excel Spreadsheets.#li-eu
