Automation Engineering Architect (Romania) in Oradea

OverviewAs part of the Celestica Global Automation team, you are an Engineer that resides at the Celestica site and works with the local team to uncover and propose automation stations assembly lines. As an Engineer you bring experience in machinery design concepts, safety and global standards. With this knowledge you are comfortable working in a team environment to create the specifications in order to build world-class equipment. In this role, you will report to the Regional Automation Architect. Technical Concept and architect automation stations and assembly lines Analysis of inputs and the creation of User Requirements in order to determine feasibility of using one or more machines to carry out sequential operations in known process time Perform engineering calculations with respect to cycle time, strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine requirements in the development of equipment to meet process and products specifications Work with Celestica Global Machinery Standards Liaise with vendors for technical information and specifications Communicate all requested design changes to various teams Responsible for communicating progress on tasks Formalize and update drawing documentation Must have thorough knowledge of drafting principles to understand specifications Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is an asset An understanding of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics An understanding of the use of electrical devices (i.e. switches, load cells, LVDT’s etc.) An understanding of machine vision as it applied to automation stations for identification, quality, robotic offset and alignment Project Execution • Work with Celestica global sites to understand common automation needs and create the User Requirements that can be converted into a standard machine • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Assist in preparing customer documentation • Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely • Complete other duties and projects as assigned • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines • Ensure scheduled milestones are met Travel • Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier locations is less than 25% of time [once out of C-19 restrictions], however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs Qualifications Education • Has successfully completed either a University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Robotics/ Mechatorics Automation Technology Experience • minimum 7 years in automation design at a machine integrator, or equivalent, designing and concepting machines from small table top to large stations. . Basic knowledge of printed circuit board assembly/electronics manufacturing are an asset.
