Project Description A joint sponsored TDI / Procurement Programme has been established to manage all change activities across the TDI Software Asset Management and Group Procurement teams at the Bank for 2021/22.The programme includes workstreams aimed at improving operational and system effectiveness of how Software is procured and managed within the bank. Key workstreams are summarised as follows:Contract Enhancements - tactical changes (missing contracts, standard T&Cs & improving review process) Renewals Calendar/PO Compliance - establish renewals calendar, critical terms & improve PO compliance Buying Software - improve how we buy software in the bank Smart Contracting - Strategic programme looking at next generation tools & processes (oversight / alignment only) Responsibilities We would expect this Business Analyst role to support the programme and workstreams to help deliver business analysis project deliverables in delivering the change activities in a timely and quality manner. Initial and main focus is expected to be the Buying Software workstream and the analysis activity to understand the existing end-to-end process, the desired state process and identification of process and system improvements to achieve this. Your key responsibilities: Analysis and documentation of existing end-to-end buying software processes Documentation and articulation of desired state end-to-end process outlining system & process improvements, noting there are already an existing set of requirements / known issues to consider as part of this activity Co-ordinate and include key subject matter experts in the analysis to ensure buy-in and credibility Help to ensure that processes & controls relating to licensed and open-source software usage and contribution are effective and auditable Review and provide guidance & support to the Bank and Suppliers alike on Software licenses, their usage and potential impact of incorrect licensing or usage within the bank Work with internal Bank Software owners, Global Sourcing & Software suppliers to optimize Software License Costs & to ensure we have a future Software strategy for all areas Skills Must have Previous knowledge or experience in Software License Management, Software Asset Management, Sourcing & Procurement or IT Project Management disciplines, ideally with an understanding of software contract / license types and their meaning and implications for an organization incl. experience or knowledge of open source licensing Prior experience implementing, supporting and improving IT policies and governance processes Strong analytical skills, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility in problem solving Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery A background in banking or similar complex large organization (at least 2-5 years in the industry), working collaboratively across multi-dimension teams within a multi-vendor and multi-cultural environment Nice to have Previous implementations of purchasing or software licenses management applications Languages English: C1 Advanced Seniority Senior
