Senior IT Business Solution Architect Supply Planning is key business interfacing role that has technical and business domain specific expertise and provides oversight and coordination across portfolio of technical solutions being developed in that domain. They develop, maintain, and communicate processes and standard practices related to the high-level design, development, and implementation of solutions across portfolio of projects in the domain. Additionally, they work with the business to define technology roadmaps & ensure solutions meet business needs along with architecturally significant functional and nonfunctional requirements. The candidate will be working with and guide our Product Owners, Software Architects, and others to create and implement technical specifications using industry standard, best-in-class coding practice. Senior IT Business Solution Architect Supply Planning needs to understand business processes, process analysis/management, and their related IT requirements. Drives the definition, optimization, improvement, and approved changes to new and existing business processes and IT solutions via development of business and functional requirements. Manages process conformance and compliance as appropriate (e.g.SOX). Collaborates with technical teams to prototype, build, test and deliver the solution. Key Activities Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. Analyzes requirements from the business; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities. Analyzes and monitors implementation of business rules through review of documents which include business requirements, design documents, test plans and other specification documents. Coordinate requirements walk-through and , verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs Accountable for collaborating with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, identifying solution gaps and available capabilities, and defining solutions to meet the business need. Manage Stakeholder’s concerns regarding technical issues for their areas Contributes to development of project plans. Evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components, and the system architecture to ensure that they meet business requirements. Translates business domain understanding and context to technical capabilities for technical architects and development teams. Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Produce system design documents Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the system Responsible for examining the current systems architecture and working with business and technical staff to recommend solutions that result in more effective systems Collaborate and ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture to shape EA guardrails, standards, patterns, and frameworks Stay abreast of current trends/technologies in consumer space and be aware of technology initiatives from other best in class retailers and technology companies globally Support prototype development efforts Support the adoption of best practices in the areas of technology integration, cloud computing, managed services, process improvement, technology innovation and implementation Support program teams in executing with quality, providing support, best practices, innovation, and strategy Ensure work scope is maintained and solutions are implemented Give direction on how to leverage technology to solve a business problem QualificationsTechnical Skills and Qualifications Integration Technologies Cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies Big Data Analytics, Data Architecture & Modeling Strong production capabilities in PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, Excel, JIRA, Confluence Functional knowledge of ERP modules and functionalities (e.g. SAP) Experience working with (or, ability to quickly learn & master) a variety of technologies including web, mobile and social Experienced in traditional SDLC and Agile frameworks Functional and Behavioral Skills Business acumen Understanding of future technologies Application domain knowledge Ability to tie together solutions across systems Requirements definition & management Business case development Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts / processes Creative and conceptual thinking Problem solving / analytical thinking Solid understanding of IT group operating model, including enterprise architecture, development lifecycle, tools, methods and processes Independent and creative analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and confirm understanding
