Business Editor in Bucuresti

Your Role:Editor will cover breaking news and assigned features, including market, technology, finance and regulatory stories of interest to Chemical Week readers. You will be in contact with and leverage internal IHS Markit experts as well as maintain and identify industry sources. Editor will help manage social media platforms and be responsible for breaking news coverage on a daily basis as well as researched enterprise features across all CW platforms, including chemweek.com, Chemweek’s Business Daily, and Chemical Week magazine.You will build a base of knowledge of the industry and its key players.Contribute to daily news and feature coverage.Build sources to obtain relevant, accurate and up-to-date informationEngage with internal and external experts.Closely monitor chemical and related industriesWork with team to produce, develop, and create data offerings for our audience, including relevant price and market data, M&A, projects and industry rankings.Your Team:You will be working in the chemical/OMDC Team in Bucharest. The editor will work with a global team to capture, report and analyze industry-relevant information and intelligence for our global audience of high-level industry executives.Your expertise:English proficiency and proven skill in reporting, writing, and editing business and finance news for a high-level industry audience.Sharp attention to detail, including ability to discern what is relevant to our audience and skill to spot errors and inconsistenciesStrong numeracy skills and research and analytical capabilities with the ability to present insightful findings in clear language and appropriate context for demanding and high-level industry audience.Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple assignments.I’s a bonus if you also have:An understanding of the global chemical and related industries is useful but may not be essential.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
