C++ Build and Release Engineer
Job Description
As a result of continuous improvement and development strategy, Thales is currently recruiting for its ETCS On Board Unit team one BUILD & RELEASE Engineer.
This role implies a good understanding of software architecture as well as solid knowledge of C++.
European Train Control System is a signalling, control and train protection system currently used by European railways especially on high-speed lines.
Job description and competencies required

Strong C++ development skills with a background focusing on CI/CD deployment and automation;

Proficient in developing build infrastructure using make files;

Proficient in scripting languages: bash, Perl mandatory (Python or groovy is a plus);

Knowledge of CI tools including Jenkins;

Experience with software build and release and change management processes;

Develop, implement and maintain internal change management policies and procedures;

Support embedded C/C++ SW development teams on Linux environment;

Comfortable in basic troubleshooting of the build & development tools, CI/CD infrastructure in an embedded C/C++ development environment;

Hands on experience in GIT Administration is a plus;

Clearcase management & administration experience - is a plus;

Experience in migrating Clearcase based build infrastructure to Bitbucket-GIT based infrastructure is a plus.
