Our ideal candidate will have substantial track record of M&A/financing energy/major industrial projects and would overall poses strategic leadership in 6 digits € projects within energy (or another major industrial) sector
Location: Romania, Bucharest
Position Overview
The CEO serves as the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, regulators, industry partners, and government stakeholders, ensuring the company’s reputation and long-term sustainability in a safety-critical energy sector
The CEO will provide strategic leadership, operational excellence, and visionary guidance to the organization, driving project implementation while ensuring compliance with the relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Advocate and execute the project implementation strategy, demonstrate commitment to major energy field safety, optimize organisational resources, observe behaviours, demonstrate initiative, promote accountability and responsibility Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely delivery of complex major energy field construction projects within budget and according to strict safety and quality standards. Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure full adherence to national and international major energy field safety regulations, industry codes, and environmental standards. Public Representation: Act as the representative of the company, at industry forums, conferences, and in dialogue with policymakers. Stakeholders Management: Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, government agencies, investors, and international partners. Financial Oversight: Drive sustainable financial performance, capital allocation, and risk management practices. Leadership & Culture: Build, mentor, and retain a world-class leadership team while cultivating a culture of safety, integrity, while promoting responsibility and accountability within the organisation. Proven track record in general management or senior executive in the energy or large-scale industrial projects sectors Minimum 8 years of experience managing complex industrial projects with notable results Solid understanding of the energy sector, ideally of major energy field industry (major energy field power plants footprint, key industrial players, SMR, major energy field safety regulations, licensing processes, and compliance frameworks) Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to deliver sustainable growth and shareholder value. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at national and international levels. Proven ability to make sound decisions on significant financial value across private and public sector Advanced degree in Management, Engineering, Physics, Energy Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
