Continuous Improvement Manager in Oradea

Purpose Statement: Provide site wide leadership, mentoring and training for continuous improvement initiatives. Provide guidance on continuous improvement process development and value stream transformation deployment to the site. Collaborate with site leadership to create an operational excellence based continuous improvement and problem solving culture.Key Job Accountabilities:Ownership of Site's Value Stream transformation initiatives, Bringing Employees Success Together (BEST) program and Plexus System of Operational Excellence (PSOE) Roadmap. Lead and manage training/mentoring for site continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with Site Leadership to develop and communicate site vision for achieving Plexus System of Operational Excellence maturity targets and transforming value streams to ensure continuous improvement project funnels are in place to support that vision.Facilitate site's Continuous Improvement/ Lean Steering Team to achieve targeted financial impact.Ownership of communication of Continuous Improvement program to customers including Value Stream transformation results that benefit our customers at Quality Business Review (QBRs).Coach all levels of leadership to develop lean deployment strategies based on A3 thinking and value stream management to create a sustainable continuous improvement and problem solving culture.Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.Additional Accountabilities:Facilitate and Mentor Continuous Improvement learning across all levels of the organization by exhibiting leader as a coach behaviors.Ensure site alignment to Regional and Corporate CI Strategy.Active participation in Best Practices Sharing across sites and regions.Support the recruitment, mentorship, and development of site continuous improvement resources.Ownership of Continuous Improvement metrics, site CI committees and Operational reviews.Ensure archival of all project and best practices in the knowledge management system.Responsible to coach and mentor with the Site CI SME to coach Green Belts to drive projects to completion while developing the Green Belts ability to independently apply CI and lean sigma tools and methodologies.Support service center management to identify and create CI training plan.Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10%).Additional duties as assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; an Industrial Engineering degree is preferred. Eight (8) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.Black Belt Certification desired and will be required to maintain the position.Proven continuous improvement deployment experience of five (5) years.Demonstrated mastery of Continuous Improvement, Flow Manufacturing, Value Stream Management and Mapping related Lean and Six Sigma concepts.Demonstrated Value Stream transformation experience across transactional and manufacturing processes.Strong leader as a coach skills with an ability to work with all levels of the organization.Knowledge of Minitab, CIMCAM, MES, ERP and other IT platforms a plus.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications: Advanced Skills in the following: Managing Change, negotiation, adaptability, decision making and problem solving.Excellent Listening, Verbal and Written Communication Skills.Respectful of Diversity.Intermediate skills in the following: Visioning and Goal/Policy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) Financial Acumen to identify bottom-line impact from value stream transformation initiatives through site's P&L reporting.Attracts and Develops Talent to become high potential resources.Data Mining skills for Customer demand analysis to establish current and future TAKT expectations.Advanced Strategy Development & Deployment using A3 thinking.Advanced continuous flow manufacturing skills using standard work, TAKT based production control boards, standard WIP, mixed assemblies cell design, scheduling/sequencing, consumption based material replenishment pull systems using kanban/supermarkets.Advanced visual management system design to enable downtime reduction and tiered communication from associate level to senior level decision makers.Intermediate statistical analysis capability and Pareto thinking.General office equipment and materials.Work Environment:The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
