Data Engineer - EDL in Bucuresti

The Data Engineer - EDL will lead a small team of developers and oversee the development of data visualization products with our Enterprise reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) across a variety of lines of business at Estee Lauder. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate data and analytic requirements of key stakeholders into sophisticated, high end visualizations that bring data to life and help drive usage and adoption. She/he will develop visualizations in enterprise reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau…) and will collaborate with the various Data & Analytics business team for the specific deliverables and requirements Job Responsibilities: Manage the data visualization development team Communicate estimates, updates, risks to the D&A Project team Develop dashboards and reports following an agile approach leveraging Enterprise data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI and others Ensure reporting performances and mobile responsiveness are always a priority Build Wireframes/prototypes when required Set the standards and best-practices for data visualization development within PowerBI and Tableau environments. Adopt UI/UX design standards and elements from Global BIA UI/UX team. Engage with stakeholders and end users by building a strong data visualization analytics community. Encouraging, empowering, and training our self-service Tableau and Power BI community Work with internal teams and key stakeholders to curate, enhance, clean, and rationalize existing sets of dashboards Lead and coordinate user testing initiatives QualificationsTechnical Skills and Qualifications Expertise in data visualization design & development with Enterprise Tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, QlikView) Ideally certified in Tableau Desktop and/or Power BI Desktop Proficient in SQL Comfortable working with Agile methodologies, Agile certification is a plus Proven ability to build solutions across multiple channels; desktop and mobile/tablet devices Understanding of how to work with data and teams in Data processing, analysis, and data modeling Functional Skills Ability to leverage Enterprise reporting tools (Tableay, PowerBI, Qlik, Microstrategy etc.) to translate data and analytic requirements into sophisticated, high end visualizations and reports. Analytical/critical thinking: Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’. Can identify patterns in data and come to new conclusions based on the findings Comfortable working in matrixed organization and balancing needs of multiple stakeholders Ability to communicate complex ideas or processes in a simplified visual manner Excellent written and communication skills Leadership Skills Proficiency in working with junior team members, providing day-to-day guidance. Proven experience managing or working with cross functional teams in mid-to-large scale, complicated projects Collaborates and communicates with multiple stakeholders, encouraging creativity when problem-solving and leveraging best practices, as appropriate Recognizes and celebrates success
