As a Data Management Lead, a typical day will include:  ·       Create and manage data strategy for Alcon that defines the technology, processes, people, and business rules required to manage Alcon’s data assets.·       Design and influence information management for diverse business data domains, including aspects of conceptual, logical and physical design with a goal of providing sufficient details to undertake development, testing and implementation of a solution.·       Define architectural vision, roadmap, and implement standards for governing, modeling, storing, and delivering data within the enterprise·       Define and enforce standards for data architecture, data quality, security, compliance and governance including evaluating tools needed.·       Manage a team of data architects, analysts and undertake the delivery of a comprehensive data-centric projects.·       Manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement for the solution and ensure that the delivery of the project aligns to longer-term strategic roadmaps·       Lead collaborative team working with other areas within Data and Analytics team to ensure that all solutions are complete, operable, conform to business processes, and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of service·       Lead the data design for large projects and programs; through expert knowledge translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata·       Be responsible throughout the entire project lifecycle for the end-to-end solution of the project and compliance with enterprise data model and logical data groups·       Lead and participate in the peer review and quality assurance of project architectural artifacts across EA group through governance forums. Report key architecture decisions and implications to the architectural governance forums·       Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence·       Create and maintain current- and target-state data architectures WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: ·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable experience·       Fluent level of English, both written and spoken·       Experience in creating, contributing implementing, and maintaining data strategy for an enterprise·       Experience in analyzing, building and documenting data, data models, data quality, data products, etc., end to end lifecycle of data product·       Experience in designing and driving data literacy programs·       Extensive knowledge of data cataloging, data warehousing, data modeling and/or data analysis processes·       Understanding business strategy and as-is data management practice. Ability to define desired future-state data management practice and perform gap analysis between current and future-state data management practices·       Experience in working with enterprise systems and their data models.
