Responsabilities
Reporting to the Project Manager and Data Ops Manager in Romania, the Data Profiling Associate will have to review source system data and provide a comprehensive understanding of its structure, content and interrelationships. The Data Profiling Associate will evaluate technical rules on the source system data, identify data quality issues in the source system data, evaluate the source data feed’s fit against a designed and documented ELT interface, as well as work with engineering individuals to create semiautomatic/automatic processes that are integrating the data.
Collect descriptive statistics regarding the source data Collect data types, lengths, and recurring patterns Label data using keywords and/or descriptions Perform data quality assessments Assess the risk of performing joins on the data Assess the distribution of data Identify primary and foreign key candidates Identify functional dependencies Perform inter-table analysis Map source data for ingestion into the staging area of the warehouse Evaluate the applicability of business rules on the source system data related to specific business processes Automate any repetitive activity regarding all the above responsibilities where possible Qualifications
Proven experience in working with large volumes of data Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and in cross-cultural teams Technical Skills
Experience with data cleansing methodologies Proven MS Excel proficiency Proven scripting knowledge using Python or R and/or Power Query expertise Proven understanding of SQL database querying Knowledge of data profiling best practices (key integrity, cardinality, pattern, and frequency distributions) Proven experience with data profiling tools (Informatica, Oracle Enterprise Data Quality – list not exhaustive) Proven understanding of Data Quality concepts, metrics, usual technical rules Represents a plus experience with any of the following: Snowflake, Power BI Desktop, Tableau Education Requirements
Relevant B.S. or M.S. studies in Statistics / Mathematics / Management Information Systems
