As a Design Methodology Engineer you will develop in-house tools and provide support for IC designers and technology experts during the product development phase, across several Infineon locations.

In your new role you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain libraries symbols , PCELLs and technology files in Cadence SKILL language.
  • Develop Infineon custom tools based on Cadence and Mentor Graphics applications.
  • Ensure software implementation according to specifications.
  • Participate in test, development, regression and automation flow related to the respective tools.
  • Provide training to other colleagues in tools usage.

You have knowledge from multiple disciplines and are permanently connected to the latest technology developments.

    You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in Electronics Engineering , Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • 2+ years of experience in programming , ideally with SKILL (Cadence) or TCL.
  • Experience with Cadence Composer Virtuoso , Layout tools and PCELLs.
  • Experience in implementing EDA tools for IC Design.
  • Experience with revision control software : git, subversion (a.k.a. svn)
  • Great experience with Linux environment , utilities and scripting (e.g. tcsh, bash)
  • User experience with Cadence VXL and routing tools, Mentor Graphics’ Calibre suite and parasitic extraction are a plus.
  • Very good command of English language .
