Your day to day
- Investigate, analyze and document production incidents, according to SLA agreement and urgency
- Escalation of incidents to 3rd line support, if needed (squad, developers, Infra, Network, DB Admins). Work closely with all parties necessary in order to solve problems
- Create and maintain an up-to-date documentation and procedures of your area of support
- Investigation of issues through the usage of database knowledge and log analysis
- Collaborate with Network, OS and other teams to ensure that the application is functioning as expected
- Test application functionality in production after patches or promos;
- Offering recurrent and ah-hoc reports using information provided by logs, database and other applications
- track, monitor and analyses defects in order to mitigate the impact on the project release and ensure that the system is deployed to meet the level of reliability set by the customer on the correct infrastructure;
- Work very closely with your Help Desk and CCS colleagues in order to keep them informed and able to provide support when needed
- Contribute to the automation and optimization of processes and flows, in order to prevent human error and increase processing speed and the ability to detect errors
- Offer help and support to newer colleagues
- Test production bug fixes and new developments, when needed
- Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience;
- Good knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- At least 2 years of working experience with databases (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Good knowledge of Linux commands
- Understanding of key DevOps responsibilities and concepts
- Familiarity with Build and Release strategies
- Ability to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools
- Hands-on experience in process automation, technology efficiency and effectiveness
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Positive attitude and oriented towards solving problems
- The ability to give constructive feedback and openness to receive it as well
- Ability to work within the team and act as a mentor
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
Nice to have
- Knowledge of ITIL and Agile concepts
- Experience with monitoring tools
- LInux Administration knowledge: install and secure OS, patching, solve security vulnerabilities
