Together we`ll empower people and organisations to realise their own vision for a better future.MissionAs a DevOps Engineer in ING Bank - Customer Engagement and Lending Tribe, you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the operational environments that support our applications, deployment, including server and data bases within our area. Our main focus is related to take care of the applications that serve our colleagues from Front office, Back office and Contact Center and involves activities like: lifecycle, monitoring, automation, testing, improvements and many others.Our environment inspires you to innovate and our Agile way of working empowers you to achieve set goals, while also enhancing your technical skills. Come join ING's Retail team!Your day to dayInvestigate, analyze and document production incidents, according to SLA agreement and urgencyEscalation of incidents to 3rd line support, if needed (squad, developers, Infra, Network, DB Admins). Work closely with all parties necessary in order to solve problemsCreate and maintain an up-to-date documentation and procedures of your area of supportInvestigation of issues through the usage of database knowledge and log analysisCollaborate with Network, OS and other teams to ensure that the application is functioning as expectedTest application functionality in production after patches or promos;Offering recurrent and ah-hoc reports using information provided by logs, database and other applicationsTrack, monitor and analyses defects in order to mitigate the impact on the project release and ensure that the system is deployed to meet the level of reliability set by the customer on the correct infrastructure;Work very closely with your Help Desk and CCS colleagues in order to keep them informed and able to provide support when neededContribute to the automation and optimization of processes and flows, in order to prevent human error and increase processing speed and the ability to detect errorsOffer help and support to newer colleaguesTest production bug fixes and new developments, when neededMaintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPIWhat you bring to the teamBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience;Good knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL At least 2 years of working experience with databases (SQL, PL/SQL)Good knowledge of Linux commandUnderstanding of key DevOps responsibilities and conceptsFamiliarity with Build and Release strategiesAbility to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levelsExcellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical toolsHands-on experience in process automation, technology efficiency and effectivenessExcellent technical documentation skillsPositive attitude and oriented towards solving problemsThe ability to give constructive feedback and openness to receive it as wellAbility to work within the team and act as a mentorAbility to work under strict deadlinesNice to have Knowledge of ITIL and Agile conceptsExperience with monitoring toolsLinux Administration knowledge: install and secure OS, patching, solve security vulnerabilities
