Responsibilities:
- Develop new or introduce existing processes and technologies to help the organization scale
- Integrate and collaborate with teams across the organization to analyze and remedy gaps in standards or architecture
- Troubleshoot incidents, formulate theories, and test your hypotheses to narrow down possibilities and find the root cause
- Make monitoring and alerting meaningful and useful; alert on symptoms before outages occur
- Provide and utilize APIs to integrate various systems within our company
Qualifications:
- A customer-first mindset, both inside and outside of the company
- Curiosity for technologies and a self-teaching approach to development
- Responsible attitudes towards outcomes, user experience, and ownership
- Comfortable working with Ansible, Terraform, Java, Docker, Kubernetes
- Testing and maintaining your work throughout the development and production lifecycles
- Must haves:
- Expertise in automating infrastructure, configuration, and deployments
- Experience with containers, either Docker or Kubernetes
- Troubleshooting know-how
- System administration skills
- Familiarity with common databases: MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch
- Would be a plus:
- Oservability platforms like Wavefront, New Relic, Datadog, etc. knowledge
- Logging systems understanding
- Cloud services like AWS or OCI know-how
- Familiarity with basic statistics and time-series
