EHSA Manager in Craiova

Job ID: 34855 | Location: Craiova, Dolj, RomaniaWe are seeking an experienced ESHA Manager to be located in Romania. You will report to the Plant Manager and for the management of all environmental, safety and health activities ("ESHA") on site, managing all ESHA activities in compliance with legislation and the Company's guidelines. Responsibilities Acts as a consultant for safety, health and environmental issues in manufacturing plants and on sites; Monitors and updates the list of the Romanian regulations and laws, the emergency issues and ensures the documentation of the required data; Monitors and reports the follow-up actions from ESHA audits, internal inspections and requirements from authorities; Reviews environmental and safety compliance with laws and evaluates the impact on the Company’s operations; Works to achieve the Company’s compliance with the corporate standards and targets; Organizes, prepares and participates in the site’s emergency situations management; Evaluates the investments and expenses in the budget/cost center for ESHA matters; Timely and regularly prepares, collects, provides and reports the key figures, risk portfolio and corrective actions /status updates; Ensures compliance with ESHA guidelines, the Romanian laws and with the established targets; Ensures obtaining of the necessary authorizations and certifications for the environment, safety and health at work; Follows-up on LTAR (Lost Time Accident Rate) and reports accurate numbers; Keeps the risk portfolio updated and finalizes any open measures and issues within agreed time frames; Suggests corrective and preventive actions regarding the site’s risk portfolio as well as dangerous situations/behaviors; Participates in internal and external audits; Ensures the control of the contractors during the performance of services in the plant. Requirements Chemical or engineering or similar technical education or experience; Professional training and education in process safety; Minimum 5 years’ experience in ESH matters in an industrial plant (chemical or brewery or food & beverage industry or BioTech industry experience would be an asset). Fluent in written and spoken English; Ability to drive improvement and to deal with uncertainty. Excellent intercultural and interpersonal skills with strong stakeholder management ability.
