Position Summary:Embedded Linux Software Engineer for System Reliability team in the Automotive Infotainment project.You will be part of a team which is responsible for providing Linux based software which is used for the validation and manufacturing of the HW platforms used by the new generation of Automotive Infotainment System.Job Responsibilities:Develop, maintain and improve the custom Linux image and associated services used for Hardware verification of Infotainment SystemsDesign, develop and maintain applications which test hardware components based on hardware specificationsAnalysis of trouble tickets and perform code reviewsCollaborate with Hardware development, production and qualification teams to support the Hardware lifecycle processesAct according the standards of the automotive industry and in-car applications and software development processesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations3+ years of experience as a software developer2+ years of programming under LinuxUnderstanding of embedded hardware schematics and conceptsSource control systems experience (preferably Git)Good programming skills with C/C++Strong programming skills in Python languagePreferred Qualifications:Embedded systems development knowledgeExperience in building custom embedded Linux distributions (Yocto or similar)Experience with build / deployment automation (Jenkins, Bamboo)Good programming skills in scripting languages (Bash or similar)Familiarity with Python based web frameworks (Django or FastAPI is a plus)Practical experience with SCRUM and agile methodsComfortable in working with international teamsEligibility Requirements:Good English communication skills both written and verbalWillingness to travel (0-20% of time) depending on the project necessities #HarmanEmployeesWork in international teams with the world’s largest automotive manufacturersUse HARMAN Flex – chose the right working model fitting their job (WfH, Hybrid or Office)Access career development opportunities and get both on the job training on high-end automotive projects, as well as extensive technical trainingsAccess HARMAN Webshop with large employee discounts for audio products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG)Are encouraged to a healthy work/life balance with a progressive holiday plan based on total work experience, 2 sick days, 3 days off compensation for weekend legal holidays and flextimeAnd of course, enjoy meal tickets, a premium medical subscription, fitness discounts and other corporate perks
