The Mission:Virtualization engineer role is part of the INGs’ Tech Platform Services tribe, with responsibilities on managing large scale (national and international) infrastructure products and services, supporting ING Bank applications’ data transfers by implementing and operating highly secure and resilient infrastructure solutions.The role is responsible on translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables ensuring scalability, reliability, compliance and security considering full range of products & services from Core Infrastructure, Platforms and Workplace Experience thus supporting organization Cloud journey and Digital by default processes.As part of the Engineering domain, you will have the opportunity to share your passion with other Virtualization Engineers by developing and expanding technical skills with open mind, curiosity to discover new way of thinking, challenging assumptions and making room for diversity.We are encouraging entrepreneurial mentality expressed into a challenging and highly collaborative environment which nourishes innovation using technology as the main driver to progress.Technologies & ideal candidate:Soft skills and other relevant information (to be filled in by CL & IT Recruiter):Ability to encourage the team to stimulate teamwork, to take responsibility.Ability to guide novice colleagues and demonstrate a clear vision of actions related to objectives.Your Day to DayAdministration and monitoring of the  virtualized infrastructure;Manage the following technologies: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware NSX, VMware VRNI, VMware LogInsightInstalling, maintaining, upgrading, and documenting the software and hardware used, as well as assuring back-up solutions, security administration, monitoring and optimization of the system;Proactively suggesting ways of handling problems and solutions to possible incident;Monitoring the systems in order to prevent any intrusions;Testing the solutions received before applying them to the production environment;Staying up to date with the latest technology releases and proposing upgrades on existing infrastructure;Documenting recurrent activities as standard operating procedures, and automating them if possible;Maintaining up to date CMDB for the assets in scope;Handling incident management, change management, back-up, and security procedures;Ensuring business continuity by thoroughly understanding the critical nature of banking applications;Stand-by support for production incidents.What you bring to the teamUniversity degree (IT, Engineering) or equivalent professional experience;Work experience: at least 3 years of experience administrating virtualized environments infrastructure;Hands on experience with  VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-VFocus on collaboration, teamwork, and customer service.
