A (code) mark on a product used by millions of people!This is your area:“Dev Experience” is a newly formed area with the main purpose of helping other development teams achieve their goals by introducing tools and practices to streamline the software engineering process. This implies working alongside 25+ teams / 150+ developers in order to learn how they do things, analyze their impediments and make their life easier by proposing and implementing solutions based on your experience and expertise. Touching a wide range of challenges concerning software development as part of day to day work, technical excellence is also important and acts as a compass and guides the team in taking the standard ways of improving software development to a new and upgraded level.How you contributeYou will build and mature this new, Dev Experience area in our organization, defining its clear vision, objectives and excellent execution in a constantly evolving environment. You will have the challenge of building a greenfield area that addresses key impediments in our current engineering flowYou will act as a liaison between dev teams and infrastructure-as-a-service teams, ensuring bi-directional alignment on their needsDirect people manager of engineering managers, principal engineers and other related roles, accountable for creating a great working environment that enables high autonomy, high alignment and streamlined product engineering processEnsure product area has a clear mission, principles, goals that are aligned to the tribe direction and everyone from the area is committed to themWork closely with stakeholders (developers, principals, platform) to define area delivery roadmap and coordinate on-time execution and in budget Ensure development teams are equipped to focus on their applicationsEnsure that capabilities owned by the area match the highest quality and operability standardsEstablish holistic coaching and mentorship principles and ensure each team member receives fair & just-in-time feedbackFacilitate relevant learning and skills growth for each person (training, conferences, learning materials, mentors etc.)You will also take the role of Site Lead and help build the development centre in Bucharest from ground up.
