Full Charge Bookkeeper in Alexandria

Job Summary/Company:Sparks Group in collaboration with its client, a construction company, is searching for a motivated Full Charge Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in general accounting and bookkeeping. Seeking a full time, long-term, experienced Bookkeeper to manage day to day bookkeeping functions and human resources for multiple divisions. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for all accounting and payment related activities, keep track of invoices and periodically update financial records. Responsibilities:Support general ledger accounting functions, accounts receivable and payable Develop financial statements including cash flow, balance sheet and profit and loss statements Process employee timesheets, run payroll checks and prepare monthly/quarterly tax returnsReconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, track, and processProvide supporting documentation to assist with Audits and Tax filingEnsure all business records are accurately classified and scanned into the database Qualifications/Background Profile:A degree in accounting, finance or business preferred5+ years of accounting experience preferredExperience working with Sage SoftwareProficient with construction and service accounting systems and ability to learn new accounting systems quicklyKnowledge of MS Office, mainly Word and ExcelExperience in preparing financial statements, consulting, and construction industryDetail and process oriented; ability to build and foster successful working relationshipsStrong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Qualified candidates should apply below AND call Sparks Group for additional details.
