JOB DESCRIPTION Location: Global scope/location, position can be filled in any location where Arcadis has a legal entity. Purpose To align operations across all GEC locations, lead workforce planning, develop and manage standard operating procedures, provide operational reporting, DtR Governance (project reviews, MEPC+). Act as point of interface between enabling functions and business operations Individual accountabilities Workforce Planning Lead Workforce Planning team that monitors talent availability through tracking forecasting supply vs demand in line with global resource planning procedures. Act as point of interface between business and Talent Acquisition to ensure internal talent is prioritized and priorities are known. Support GEC Directors to resolve critical resourcing issues Act as first point of contact for non-GBA or cross-GBA workforce planning requests Provide GEC Directors with recommendations on proactive recruitment initiatives based on demand forecasting or attrition Project Invoicing Supporting finance (owners) to ensure all activity can be invoiced, and ‘ownership’ of costs are well established in advance of work being done Ensure project codes (direct and indirect) are being used correctly Project Delivery Actively follow up where areas of MEPC+ are not performing and hold areas responsible for actions to restore performance. Work closely with peers in the business and enabling functions to support systematic and collaborative approach to MEPC+. Escalate identified quality issues identified to GEC Service DirectorMeasure projects actual performance against “as quoted” or expectations set and track ‘at risk’ projects Establish processes and governance to ensure GEC teams are participating in Project Reviews. Operational Interface with BA Operations Directors to ensure standardized GEC procedures are understood and aligned to GBA requirements Oversee and lead sustainability initiatives in our operations to meet net zero carbon targets Oversee and manage overhead costs related to travel, engineering apps and user access (ie Oracle) to minimize costs below Plan targets Support billability optimization through providing clear reporting highlighting areas of focus and providing suggestions to GEC Directors (accountable) on possible remedies Interface with Risk and Country Directors to manage crisis response and operational recovery plans Provide leadership oversight to Health, Safety and Wellbeing activities across GEC, ensuring compliance, consistency, and relevance Profile requirements The candidate should have a bachelor or master's degree and at least 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a multinational engineering or professional services firm, ideally with substantial experience in India or Philippines. The candidate will be able to inspire multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams around a common purpose and demonstrate significant leadership capability. The right candidate possesses a high level of intellectual, professional and interpersonal agility and flexibility. Further the candidate will bring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization in particular senior levels. A pragmatic attitude is vital.
