About the roleThe Head of Projects will work closely with the Senior Management Team to plan, coordinate, and ensure successful delivery of strategic projects across the firm. You will guide and support the project team, as well as coaching and mentoring cross-functional teams from the business in how to plan and execute planned projects. Responsibilities:Ensuring projects are prioritized and successfully deliveredOverseeing resource allocation, and highlighting resource challenges / identifying solutionsImplementing portfolio management methodology and best practicesChange Management including impact assessment and issuing communications / guidance to the businessMonitoring progress and preparing / delivering regular reportsManagement and Development of a multi-disciplinary projects team including Project ManagersBudget Management and trackingRecruit and retain talent for the present delivery and future growth of projects.Complete projects on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties.Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project.Maximise profit through cost reductions Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other applications as appropriate.Development of project financial plans.Financial responsibility for the delivery of the annual projects plan.Leverage margins on projects by working with subcontractors and suppliers to reduce project costs.Chair monthly project reviews with all relevant stakeholdersSkills + ExperienceYou should have a proven track record overseeing the successful delivery of business and stakeholder-sensitive projects. You will have demonstrable experience in a Senior/Lead capacity, providing mentoring and expertise, including defining and embedding Agile project management methodology and practices.You will ideally have worked in other Professional Services environments previously (e.g. Law, Finance/Accounting, Gaming, Gambling) delivering a variety of different types of project (including Business Applications, IT Infrastructure, Support Services, Target Operating Model Changes etc).You should hold an industry recognized Project Management Certification in Agile / SCRUM as well as having training / knowledge of other frameworks such as PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programs (MSP), P3O Practitioner level, AIPMO IPMO-Expert.
