HSE Manager Description Vacant Position: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager / Manager Al Sistemului De Management Securitate Si Sanatate In Munca Job Summary: Develops & leads the overall Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) for the site. Responsibilities typically include the supervision of HSE team, leading HSEMS Management Reviews with site leadership, training employees, interacting with regulatory agencies, leading pollution prevention efforts and health and safety management and control efforts, HSE objectives/targets, regulatory compliance, as well as maintaining HSEMS/ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 certification. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate leadership and initiative in H&S, promoting, developing and implementing a culture of safety in daily activity.Anticipates, identifies and evaluates hazardous safety conditions and environmental risks.Develops complete hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.Implements, administers, and advises others on hazard and risk control programs.Interprets and applies internal and external standards in support of hazard and risk reduction and compliance.Ensure proper and timely investigation of safety incidents in the projects, ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements. Prepares incident reports to management and ensures learning is transferred appropriately in the organization.Trains employees and other applicable personnel on HSE procedures, practices, and controls.Coaches and mentors HSE team, and support initiatives designed to improve HSE culture within local organization. Competencies Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) - Evaluates hazards within the work environment;Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems - Interprets and applies international standards through practical application;Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence-based investigations with accurate root;Influence Health and Safety Culture - Champions positive health and safety behaviors by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment;Health, Safety and Environmental Emergency Preparedness and Response - Participates and coordinates the emergency action plan by applying relevant regulations and best practices;Ergonomic Fundamentals - Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work;Implementation of Risk Controls - Selects and implements risk control methods;Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulatory Compliance - Identifies, interprets and manages legal and other requirements by implementing controls, monitoring and reporting on operational performance;Industrial Hygiene Management - Designs and executes an industrial hygiene program;Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications;Manages conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise;Change Management - Applies the Cummins structured process and tool set for engaging individuals and organizations through change to achieve and sustain business results and outcomes. Education, Licenses, Certifications : University, or equivalent degree in Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental preferred. At least progress toward Certified Safety Professional or similar certification required. Successful candidate: Significant experience, including supervisory experience, required. Possesses excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently Comprehensive knowledge of HSE industry best practices.
