The ideal candidate would have very good understanding of automotive electronics, some understanding / experience in embedding electric motor control capability within the power electronics enclosure. An understanding of thermal management within compact packages of power electronics is desirable for this role.PRINCIPAL TASKS• Complete cycle of electronics design, i.e. conceptual requirements, architecture, design, analysis, detailed design, support to manufacturing, operational test and New Product Introduction• Creation of HW schematic, BOM design based on system requirements and architectural design, considering EMC guidelines, OEM electronics design rules and inputs from projects (e.g. Functional Safety Concept) to achieve the best Layouts in terms of cost, quality, and manufacturability.• DFMEA and mitigation actions on own design• Support test plan development• Develop main modules of the electronics: power supply, reverse polarity protection, uC, I/Os, motor control driver, position sensing.• Manage cost, and quality of electronic products.• Create electrical and EMC design validation test plans according to customer requirements and get customer approvals.• Deliver and manage the required documentations including BOM, 3D Cad, drawings and prototypes to product development team.• Create and maintain component and footprint libraries.• Ensure Prototypes bring up.• Support overall safety processes by performing FMEA analysis as required• Contribute to defining and establishing Verification & Validation process as well as to the Change Management process• Deliver products and documentation to customer specified quality management process and in general to automotive quality management system (ASPICE)SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION• At least 5+ years relevant experience in Hardware Requirements, HW Architecture and HW Schematic diagram, Electronics design• Expert knowledge in HW Schematic design of complex mixed-signal circuitry using Altium tools• Implementation of high-speed digital interfaces such as I2C/SPI.• Previous experience in designing for ESD/EMC• Self-motivated, with an aptitude to problem solve and drive difficult issues to conclusion• Experience in testing / working with testing teams for development and Production testing• Excellent communication (oral & written) & interpersonal skills• Experience in writing technical reports/ documentation• English language is mandatory.• Experience in working with HW Schematic design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence, Eagle etc.)DESIREABLE• Experience in simulating electrical behavior (EMC, ESD)• Experience in simulating and verifying the thermal behavior of Power Electronics units• Experience in Model based system engineering• Familiar in PTC integrity modeler• Experience with VW standards: VW 80808, TL 81000, VW 80000Our benefits• Powerful teams, open and friendly working atmosphere as well as flat hierarchies• Exciting projects at a high technological level• Flexible working hours / WFH (remote) • Further training and development opportunities
