For our location in Ghimbav we are currently looking for a Illumination Simulation Expert for hardware development responsabilities: Optic Design and simulations for HMI(central consoles, Steering wheel switches, climate control etc.); Performs reviews and negotiates optical requirements; Performs optical layout of projection optics for a specific HMI design; Checks illumination concepts, using simulation tools in order to find answers for questions like: How many light-guides will we need? Can we use the cheaper LED? How many LEDs will we need? Can this material be used? How accurate needs the mechanical design to do this? Modelling and characteristics of opto-electric components, such as light-guides, LEDs; Support for Mechanical engineers in design of opto-mechanical components, considering all building space restrictions; Responsible for validation and measurement technology applied to define quality of projection optics; Identifies improvement measures and potential to increase quality and profitability; Supports other disciplines involved in the project.
