Responsibilities
As a Public Sector Industry Digital Strategist, you will bring your expertise, commitment, and passion to drive a program of change to support our Public Sector customers. You will create an aspirational plan that formalizes their digital vision and be a leader of the execution plan to ensure results. You will guide Public Sector organizations as they reimagine and transform citizen engagements, employee experiences, government services and operations Your ability to develop trusted relationships with senior leaders within government agencies and departments and help them think about their mission and citizens they serve in the context of digital possibilities and collaborate on a vision to achieve more
The focus of the Public Sector Industry Digital Strategist is to Dream, Design & Deliver Digital Transformation, bringing innovative ideas, leveraging the Microsoft Platform, and showcasing the unique role that Microsoft can play for Public Sector customers. In this role you will be working with some of the most important Public Sector customers to help define and shape their future use of technology to support and transform their missions.
The role requires influencing a diverse group of stakeholders across field, partner, finance, business development and engineering organizations. Specifically, you will:
- Engage senior level decision makers to influence and shape the digital strategy for the PS ministry/agency/department. You will define the vision for the partnership and ignite action by challenging the status quo and bringing innovative ideas that showcase Microsoft’s unique value proposition to our Public Sector customers.
- Lead the dream team to develop the roadmap for the digital transformation for the customer. Envision and build the integrated horizon roadmap. You will define the pillars for the partnership and drive design-led envisioning sessions. You will bring the customers expertise, as well as the full potential of Microsoft to reach the agencies/departments digital aspirations You will define the scenarios and develop the ROI and economic model to support the transformational programs. Your focus on horizon 2 (grow) and horizon 3 (transform) the use of digital within our Public Sector customers.
- Establish Continuous Innovation Framework. You will work to continually refine and add new scenarios to the partnership pipeline and identify the required skills and supporting processes required for joint innovation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years business consulting experience with deep background working with Public Sector customers
- Thought leader with significant experience working with executive level positions in Public Sector including elected officials, cabinet and council members as well as senior civil service professionals
- Recognized innovator with strong storytelling abilities
- Passion for technology, business, market trends and, specifically, the customer experience implementing key Microsoft or related technologies, with a preference for depth in Cloud
- Ability to advocate for Microsoft’s vision and value proposition, and diverse offerings, by conceptualizing, planning and leading implementation/adoption of Microsoft technologies
- Exceptional executive-level interpersonal and presentation skills - desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (local language as well as English)
- Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers - deisred
- Consistent record of delivering business value by bringing the benefits of technology to transform Public Sector entities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational execution and delivery, including the coordination of relevant resources
- Ability to conceptualize, launch and plan the delivery of digital-enabled business change projects - desired
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
